Sam Sesemann is a professional photographer based in Berlin, Germany.
With a focus on live music and portraits, he enjoys capturing the energy of live gigs whether in a packed basement, a club, or at a large festival. When taking portraits, he chooses to shoot in analogue which allows him to slow down and connect with the person being photographed.
With his personal work he will shoot with the camera he has to hand, but prefers to keep to the analogue medium as much as possible.
Sam started his love for photography in 2005 while studying at Emerson College in Sussex, England - where he learnt the analogue technique and spent many hours in a small darkroom on campus.
In 2013 he started shooting live music for local magazine Brighton Source and has photographed events and artists including:
The Prodigy, Benjamin Clementine, Lamb, Rag ‘n’ Bone Man, Slaves, IDLES, The Great Escape Festival,
Brighton Pride, and The Lewes Psychedelic Festival.
He spent most of his life in Sussex, England; lived for a few years in Lima, Peru; and moved to Berlin in 2018.
Available for events, live music and portraits.
